Tip #1 - Take photos
Taking a photo of yourself may seems daunting but it is exactly what you need to get motivated. Take a photo now, then another in one month - you will be very suprised at the difference between the two and it should help keep you motivated.
Tip #2 - Exercise
However you can, you need to exercise if you want to lose weight quickly. This doesnt have to mean slogging away at the gym for hours on end! Try just walking to the shops instead of driving, or maybe try out a new sport - remember anything that has you moving about can count as exercise.
Tip #3 - Eat
Starving yourself is probably the worst thing you can do on your quest to lose the flab. Eating frequently keeps your metabolism fired up and turns your body into a fat burning furnace. Eat a small meal every 3 hours to keep things ticking over.
Tip #4 - Set goals
Setting a goal keeps you on target and motivated. When you reach your goal you can reward yourself and then set another! Breaking things down into steps like this make things more maneagable and less daunting. Setting a goal of losing 2 pounds per week is a great start. Or perhaps you could align your goals with an event coming up that you want to look good for?
Tip #5 - Pump iron
Using weights to exercise your muscles will cause your body to burn more calories. As muscle requires more calories to sustain itself than fat - you will be burning more calories without actually doing anything!
